Eligibility:

In case of admission on the basis of qualifying examination, a candidate for admission to BDS Course must have passed (10+2 or equivalent examination) individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% of marks taken together and passing marks in English. Eligibility for admission to BDS Degree Course:

• Candidates who have passed two years pre-university examination of PU Board of Karnataka or any other examination recognized as equivalent by RGUHS, Karnataka with Physics, Chemistry Biology and English as optional subjects.
• Candidates must have obtained not less than 50% marks (40% in the case of scheduled caste /tribe) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English the optional subject groups in qualifying examination.
• The candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st December of the admission year.
• Admission will be subject to the rules and regulations of RGUHS, Karnataka and Dental Council of India, New Delhi.

50% of seats are reserved for the merit quota and the same will be filled by the Government of Karnataka from among the students appearing for the Common Entrance Test (C.E.T.), being held in April/May of each year.50% of the seats are earmarked to be filled by the management among the students appearing for the UG COMED-K Entrance Test.

Qualification

Eligibility for Admission for BDS Cource

• No candidate will be admitted unless he/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete 17 years of age on 31st December of the year of his/her admission to first B.D.S
• Candidates who have passed the two years Pre - University Examination of Pre - University Board of Karnataka with English and Physics Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects are eligible for admission to the fist year and
• The candidate shall have obtained 50% marks in English & 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry , and Biology

Eligibility for Admission for MDS Cource:

A candidate for admission to the MDS course ( Master of Dental Surgery ) must have a degree of BDS ( Bachelor of Dental Surgery ) from a college and University recognized by Dental Council of India or an qualification recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, ( RGUHS ) and the Dental Council of India. Candidates not possessing a recognized Dental qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval of his/ her qualifications by the Dental Council of India before admission to the MDS Course.
